The Perceptual Dimension of Embodied Presence in Virtual Space—Based on the Perspective of Availability Embodied Cognition
Aiming at the lack of the theory of constructing the body experience in virtual space by digital technology, and the difficulty of realizing the personification experience in virtual space,a comparative analysis of the perception of the experiential body in traditional spatial imagery, and the introduction of perception in Maurice Merleau-Ponty's body turn, based on embodied cognition of availability, space is understood as a perceptual space with ecological information, and virtual space is defined as a perceptual space that can be directly perceived and acted upon by users. With the method of logical analysis, this paper explains the principle of embodied perception experience in virtual space under digital technology by using the identity characteristics of space body perception of available embodied cognition.Through simulating perception, body perception agency, and body perception integration methods, the virtual space is created into an embodied perception experience place that conforms to user perception and behavioral patterns.
