Study on the Impact of Regional Economic Disparity on Criminal Offense from the Perspective of Common Prosperity
From the perspective of common prosperity,a panel data regression model was constructed on the basis of the data of urban and rural income,regional economic gap,crime type and crime rate of 232 regions(prefectures)in 31 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government)from 2018 to 2020,and the quantitative relationship between urban and rural income gap,regional economic gap and criminal crime was obtained.The criminal offense rate is significantly correlated with the level of urbanization,unemployment rate,and education level.The paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the effective prevention and control of criminal offenses in the process of promoting the goal of common prosperity.
