摘要
以高校校园内公示语及其英译文为研究对象,探讨了高校公示语译写存在的七类问题和导因,并从公示语的交际功能和效果出发,提出了规范高校公示语译写的六条原则.研究结果对高校公示语翻译规范化建设具有一定的参考价值,使高校公示语及其英译文在提升高校国际化形象中更好地发挥作用.
Abstract
Taking public signs and their English translations in colleges and universities as the research object,this paper discusses seven kinds of problems and causes in the translation and writing of public signs in colleges and universities,and puts forward six principles to standardize the translation and writing of public signs in colleges and universities from the perspective of their communicative functions and effects.The results of this study have a certain reference value for the standardization construction of public signs translation in colleges and universities,so that public signs and their English translations can play a better role in enhancing the international image of colleges and universities.
