The narrative art of Yu Hua's first full-length,Cries in the Drizzle,is highly mature.In this novel,Yu Hua presented diverse narrative themes through multiple perspectives,nested and collaged narrative structures,and scattered narrative strategies.He also explored the issues of literary form and authenticity,the fusion of modernism and realism,and the possible ways of generating broader literary forms.This exploration is not only the result of the aesthetic renewal of literature in different times,but also related to the internal development of literature itself and Yu Hua's further understanding of literary authenticity.
