Carbon emission reduction optimization of a treatment plan for TMAH wastewater
Conducting a carbon accounting of the TMAH(tetramethylammonium hydroxide)wastewater treatment solution based on the emission factor method, concluding that electricity consumption is the main contributing factor to carbon emissions.Among the entire treatment solution for TMAH wastewater, indirect carbon emissions from electricity consumption accounted for the largest proportion, reaching 48.31%,while direct emissions of N2O contributed the least, accounting for 11.96%.During the entire process of carbon emissions from electricity consumption, pumps accounted for the largest proportion of carbon emissions,at 65.73%,followed by aeration devices at 18.81%.Among the carbon emissions from chemical consumption, the order was PAC(polyaluminum chloride)>ferrous sulfate>oxalic acid>PAM(polyacrylamide)>urea>concentrated sulfuric acid. After optimizing carbon reduction and carbon compensation, the total carbon emissions of the entire solution were significantly reduced by 62.45%,and the amount of carbon compensation was significantly higher than the amount of carbon reduction.
