Application study of electrochemical technology in the treatment of wastewater containing 2-chloronicotinic acid
MEP-KaiSen electrochemical technology, which mainly consists of an anode loaded with rare precious metals,a cathode made of 304 material, and a third electrode with rare precious metal-loaded activated carbon. This technology is used to treat wastewater containing 2-chloro-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid.By adjusting the voltage,pH,residence time, and the filling amount of the third electrode using the single variable method, the changes in the COD removal rate and the B/C are observed to determine the optimal treatment conditions. The study shows that, considering economic benefits,a voltage of 14 V,a pH value of 3,a residence time of 60 minutes, and a 40%filling amount of the third electrode are the optimal conditions for the MEP-KaiSen electrochemical technology to treat wastewater containing 2-chloro-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid, with COD removal of over 71%and an increase in B/C to 0.37.
