Analysis of soil and groundwater contamination overlapping remediation project in an industrial plot in Tianjin
Based on the physicochemical characteristics and pollution levels of the contaminated soil and groundwater in the plot, the composite contaminated soil and single heavy metal contaminated soil were treated with washing and reduction techniques, respectively. The groundwater was treated with pump-and-treat remediation technology and evaluated for its remediation effectiveness. The results showed that after the composite contaminated soil was treated with washing, the single heavy metal contaminated soil was treated with reduction, and the groundwater was treated with pumping, the concentrations of hexavalent chromium, nickel, and cyanide in all collected soil and groundwater samples were below the remediation target limits. The remediation effects achieved the designed target values, yielding satisfactory results.
