Analysis of the thermal and moisture coupled characteristics of enclosure structures during the night ventilation phase based on COMSOL
A thermal and moisture coupled model of enclosure structures under the influence of night ventilation airflow is established, driven by temperature and relative humidity.Shanghai,a typical city in the hot summer and cold winter region,is selected to analyze the thermal and moisture coupled characteristics of enclosure structures during the night ventilation phase of typical meteorological days suitable for ventilation cooling, using the COMSOL software. The results show that considering moisture transfer has almost no effect on the temperature distribution within the wall during the night ventilation process, but it has a significant impact on the humidity of the wall on the side affected by the ventilation airflow. The thermal and moisture exchange between the night ventilation airflow and the inner surface of the wall has a minor influence on the temperature distribution in the wall area close to the outer surface.Over time, the driving force for the thermal and moisture exchange between the ventilation airflow and the inner wall of the wall decreases, resulting in a progressively worse cooling effect.
