Application practice of intelligent lighting system based on wireless sensor network technology in university underground garages
A certain university in Tianjin uses a traditional lighting system in its underground parking garage, which suffers from high energy consumption, short lifespan, and insufficient illumination. To effectively improve the lighting environment of the garage and reduce the operational and management costs, wireless sensor network technology is utilized to precisely manage and intelligently control the lighting parameters.By introducing the overview of the project's renovation, the principles and design patterns of the intelligent lighting system in the energy-saving renovation of university underground parking garages are elaborated, and the methods of energy-saving renovation are summarized.Based on the energy consumption data from the campus energy monitoring system,a comparison of electricity consumption before and after the intelligent lighting system renovation is made, and the payback period is calculated to measure the economic viability of the intelligent lighting system. The results show that after the intelligent lighting renovation, the underground parking garage of the university can save 316 300 kWh of electricity annually, with a cost recovery in just over two years, achieving an energy-saving rate of 91.01%.
