Research on steady-state operation interval division method of a flexible DC converter station connected with a new energy electric field island
To ensure the safe and stable operation of the converter station and to adjust the network losses,a method for dividing the steady-state operating range of the converter station when new energy power field islands are connected to a flexible DC converter station is proposed. An equivalent model of the flexible DC converter station is established, and the steady-state operation of the sending-end flexible DC converter station is controlled through AC voltage and frequency.By combining its power flow solvability constraints, voltage modulation ratio constraints, capacitive voltage variation constraints, current constraints, and active power constraints, all power points that meet all constraints are obtained. The steady-state operating range of the converter station is then divided based on the coverage of these power points. The results show that the greater the electrical distance between the new energy power field island and the Voltage Source Converter-based High Voltage Direct Current(VSC-HVDC)transmission,and the lower the impedance ratio of the equivalent distance, the more the steady-state operating range obtained by this method tends to move downward, rotate counterclockwise, and expand. The steady-state operating range of the converter station divided by this method can provide a reference for the network loss control of the converter station.
