Research on the Cross-cooperation between First-class Disciplines in Universities from the Perspective of "Emerging Engineering"——A Case Study of Hydraulic Engineering Discipline Publications at Hohai University
Emerging engineering education emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary integration.Using the example of a first-class discipline at Hohai University, this article analyzes the SCI papers published since the emerging engineering education planning began, employing social network analysis to examine the characteristics of interdisciplinary collaboration. This analysis explores the collaboration network, network measures, and structural features. The research finds that first-class disciplines at Hohai University show significant interdisciplinary and cross-domain collaboration characteristics, with a strong disciplinary concentration in collaboration. The findings help understand the intrinsic mechanisms of interdisciplinary collaboration in emerging engineering education and provide valuable references for universities to optimize disciplinary layout, enhance interdisciplinary integration, and promote emerging engineering education.
