Research on Strategies for Improving Aging Service in Public Libraries——A Case Study of Provincial Libraries of the Yangtze River Delta
Improving aging friendly service in public libraries is of great significance for safeguarding the basic cul-tural rights and interests of the elderly,and also promoting the development of the library industry.This article adopts field research and network analysis methods to investigate the current status of aging friendly service in pro-vincial public libraries in the Yangtze River Delta region.Based on immersive observation and questionnaire sur-vey,the study identified deficiencies in the aging friendly services of public libraries in five dimensions:aging friendly system,librarian services,hardware facilities,reading promotion,and collection resources.Strategies and suggestions for improving aging friendly services in public libraries were proposed from five aspects:institutionaliza-tion,humanization,accessibility,marketing,and precision.
