A Brief Introduction to the Collection of Zhengding Wangs'Unpublished Manuscripts
During the reign of Emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty,a branch of the Wang family in Zhengding,moved from Hebei to Taizhou,Jiangsu.They have multiplied for several generations,produced numerous talents and practiced both Confucianism and Buddhism.They are both prestigious families in Zhengding and Taizhou.The Taizhou City Library has a collection of Zhengding Wangs'literature written from the Qing Qianlong to the Republic of China period,and many of them are unpublished manuscripts.There are only four types and four volumes of Wang's writings that have been engraved and passed down,making them extremely rare.Therefore,unpublished manuscripts are particularly precious.They are not only first-hand materials for studying Zhengding Wangs,but al-so important historical materials for examining the immigrant families and social culture in the northern region of the late Qing Dynasty,which is worth paying attention and exploring.
