Hainan Province was established relatively late,and the construction of public cultural service facilities was relatively lagging.University libraries took on the responsibility of cultural construction and provided social services earlier.This paper uses the methods of network investigation and case analysis to investigate the social service of 21 university libraries in Hainan Province,analyzes the content,object and innovative mode of library so-cial service,and proposes feasible suggestions for improving social service standards.The suggestions include es-tablishing personalized and intelligent service systems,building information resource security and service alliances for social participation,and exploring diversified financial support.It aims to provide factual evidence for university libraries to better carry out social services.
