At present,the economic and cultural level of our country is at a stage of rapid development.People's demand for housing and furniture is becoming more and more personalized.School furniture design affects students'study and school life.School furniture has become a hot topic in the industry.The demand difference of dormitory furniture based on gender difference were analyzed with an aim to guide the design of gender difference demand elements of dormitory furniture,so as to fundamentally improve the living environment and quality of college students.The optimization of hardware facilities such as dormitory furniture is one of the important competitiveness of colleges and universities.Using the method of questionnaire,the original data of the difference in furniture function demand,dormitory space demand and furniture size demand were obtained.The design ideas of dormitory furniture based on gender differences were pro-posed in three aspects:the modeling structure of dormitory furniture,the functional division of dormitory furniture,and the size standard of dormitory furniture.The improvement of gender difference dormitory furniture can provide some guidance to the current dormitory furniture design in China.
