Design Practice of Elderly Friendly Smart Bed Based on Analysis of Characteristics of the Elderly
In the context of increasing ageing population,the quality of the elderly life should be taken seriously.As one of the most frequently used pieces of furniture in the lives of the elderly,beds were still suffered from inconvenience in use.By using questionnaire survey method,user interview method and field observation method,this study focused on the research and analysis of the pain points and difficulties in using sleeping beds in the elderly's life.In combination with the knowledge of ergonomics and user experience elements,the design of traditional sleeping furniture was im-proved in terms of product structure design,shape and function design,proposes innovative structured design,intelligent system design and barrier-free design.The innovative solutions will improve the usability of the bed and deflect the ob-stacles when using the bed in hope of contributing to the quality of the elderly life on some levels.
