The domestic lighting industry has made considerable progress in the past decade and has a huge market poten-tial in many fields.The knowledge map visualization was applied to present the current status of lighting design and re-search with an aim to provide a reference for achieving substantial development in the research,development and indus-trialization of new lighting technologies in the future.Through the literature metrology software CiteSpace,a visual anal-ysis of the knowledge atlas of CNKI literature data was carried out.The main contributions,knowledge sources,interdis-ciplinary characteristics and main research fields of domestic lamp design were analyzed.There are three stages of lamp design,namely,incubation stage,development stage and stabilization stage.At present,the main research results in the field of lamp design were revolved around LED,automobile lamps,product design,light source,lamp shape and bionics.The characteristics of lamp design as the core keyword of this field research in the analysis are high centrality and wide coverage time.The future lamp design will pay more attention to the expansion of human interaction,user experience,emotional design and other aspects,which may also be the mainstream research direction and development trend in the future.
