Design of Children's Growth-oriented Wardrobes Based on User Needs
To explore the basis for the transformation of needs in the design research of children's growth-oriented furni-ture and enable children's growth-oriented furniture design to effectively meet the needs of children's growth.Taking children's wardrobes as the research object, the age range of children studied was limited to 3-12 years old.By using ob-servation and interview methods,12 wardrobe usage needs were obtained. The Kano model was used to categorize the obtained needs into 4 categories. The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)method was introduced to rank the different needs categories of children in different age groups, resulting in the direction of changes in usage needs for wardrobes during the growth process of children aged 3-12.This transition is from simple and easy to use, shared by children of dif-ferent ages, and multifunctional storage needs to durable, adjustable partitions, and bright interior needs. The research conclusions are validated through design practice and scheme evaluation, providing theoretical basis and innovative ideas for the design of children's growth-oriented wardrobes.
