Environmental Analysis of Central Fujian Fortress——Taking Maojing Fortress in Youxi County as an Example
Maojing Fortress is a special traditional earthen fortress architecture residential architecture in the central Fujian region.Its main feature is its unique defensive design,which not only inherits the traditional defensive form of earthen fortresses,but also fully utilizes the natural environment to build on the mountain.It combines fortresses,homes,and ancestral hall into one,serving as a unique example of traditional defensive residential architecture that serve both residential and defensive purposes.The article analyzes the construction of Maojing Fortress from a de-fense perspective,examining its construction background from the natural environment and social environment.It delves into the significance of its construction from the perspectives of survival,defense,and worship,integrating multiple factors and angles to understand how Maojing Fortress came into being in what kind of context.
