Application of Industrial Engineering in Analysis and Optimization of Mattress Quilting Operation
In order to investigate the current human-machine work efficiency in the mattress manufacturing industry,an empirical research was conducted on company J,a mattress company in Nanjing.The method of human-machine operation analysis was adopted to analyze and study the quilting operation in mattress production.The 5W1H questioning technique was applied to analyze the quilting machine operators,aiming to optimize and improve the workflow of quilting machine.Following the"ECRS"principle during the improvement process,the blanking process in the operation was merged and rearranged,reducing the operation cycle time from 1 091 seconds to 994 seconds.The research showed that through hu-man-machine operation analysis and improvement,the efficiency of the quilting operation can be effectively enhanced.
