As the quality of life improves,the customized home furnishing industry is flourishing,and consumers are in-creasingly seeking personalized,multi-sensory comfortable home spaces.Reconstituted decorative veneer,as a sustain-able material,is widely used in interior environments.While the visual characteristics of these materials have been ex-tensively studied and matured,there is a notable gap in exploring its other sensory dimensions.In order to meet the mar-ket demands,businesses and researchers are continuously introducing new technologies and seeking innovative points,focusing on the tactile,olfactory,and auditory sensory characteristics of wood veneer.By reviewing the current process-es and market trends of reconstituted decorative veneer,as well as the research on visual characteristics,this study sum-marized the key dimensions and progress of multi-sensory perception in wood veneer research,providing a theoretical framework and practical insights for the design,production,and application of these materials.In the future,it is sug-gested to establish an effective multi-sensory perception evaluation system for scientifically assessing veneer materials that integrates multi-sensory interactions,production technologies,and aligns with contemporary trends to actively in-corporate new technologies that will substantially benefit business.
