Research and Application of Dongyi Culture in Public Seat Design
The City of Linyi has a profound foundation of Dongyi culture.By applying the bird totem elements from Dongyi culture to the design of public seating,it can better reflect the local regional cultural characteristics.Through the analysis and exploration of Dongyi cultural artifacts,elements such as the wing shape of peacock stone birds,phoenix patterns,and cranes were obtained.These elements were then applied in the design of public seating,using the peacock stone bird ornamentation,phoenix pattern bronze goblet,and the crane stepping on a turtle bronze incense burner as the design basis.By extracting directly,abstracting,and recombining the designs,the wing shape of peacock stone bird,cloud patterns,phoenix patterns,and cranes from Dongyi cultural artifacts were incorporated into the design of public seating.This design approach not only meets the aesthetic needs of modern people but also helps to inherit and promote traditional Chinese culture.It positively influences the deepening of urban residents'sense of cultural identity with their city's regional culture.
