Design Practice of Home Desk for Youth Rental Population
In recent years,China's housing rental market has developed rapidly.The young graduates from colleges and universities are the main force in renting houses.The changing ideologies and lifestyles of contemporary youth have led to an increasing demand for quality of life at home,resulting in an upgrading demand for furniture in rental spaces.Through user and product research,it was found that the rental space for young tenants are mostly small in size,which fails to meet the needs of the young renting population.In order to meet the needs of young tenants for home office and leisure activities,a furniture design strategy tailored to young renters has been proposed.This strategy focuses on inte-grating space functionality,enhancing space adaptability,meeting aesthetic requirements,and based on this,a foldable,movable,and multi-scene home desk has been designed,which can meet various rental living needs such as daily office work,computer entertainment,and dressing table,making furniture space configuration more convenient and personal-ized in use.The aim is to provide reference for furniture design targeted at the rental population.
