Application of Ergonomics in the Design of Furniture for Children's Growth
In order to solve the problem of children's furniture being unable to meet their growth needs leading to fre-quent replacements, resulting in resource wastage and hindering the construction of childhood memories;based on ergo-nomics,the physiological and psychological characteristics of children were analyzed, and the functional and aesthetic re-quirements of children's furniture were also analyzed. It was found that the functionality and variability of children's furniture are inversely related.By focusing on furniture with strong functionality and weak variability, the factorial cross-experiment method was proposed to address the"growth"challenge of children's furniture. This method was used to generate sample products for reference, conduct surveys on children's actual preferences, refine the design application of children's growth-oriented furniture based on survey results, and achieve experimental research and development of children's growth-oriented furniture through proposed strategies and design application. The aim is to reduce resource wastage and expand the innovative design path of children's furniture.
