Evaluation of Performance and Aesthetic for UV Printing 3D Bamboo Woven Texture
As a traditional Chinese art form, bamboo and rattan weaving exhibits excellent decorative, practical, and en-vironmental qualities. However, its application in household products is limited by production efficiency and economic benefits.A UV-curable inkjet printing method based on digital layered image processing was proposed in the study.Bam-boo fabric with a micro-three-dimensional structure was constructed on the surface of a poplar multilayer board through digital bamboo image processing. The results show that the CMYK image is transformed into a grayscale image by color range selection and fuzzy parameter setting. The grayscale image was then linked to a spot color channel to control white ink deposition. The printing density was set to 300%,and multiple layers were deposited on the substrate surface. The CMYK channel accurately mapped the four-color inks for color printing.Using this method,a bamboo plaiting surface decoration effect with high similarity was successfully simulated on the poplar multi-layer board.Physical property test-ing of the paint film reveals an ink deposition roughness of approximately 300 microns,an LAB difference of-5 to 5,an adhesion of 2,a hardness of 2H,and a wear resistance of 3,all of which conform to national standards for the physi-cal and chemical properties of furniture product surface coatings.Furthermore, the analytic hierarchy process was intro-duced to calculate the weight of each index in the system and to evaluate the aesthetic evaluation of the surface texture printed using this method.
