Research and application of open-type TBM step-starting construction technology
The TBM(Full Face Tunnel Boring Machine)construction method has significant advantages in speed,efficiency,and safety during the rock tunnel construction process.The construc-tion method is usually divided into assembly,stepping,starting,trial excavation,formal excavation,reception,and demolition processes,and the stepping process plays a crucial role in the application of the construction method.TBM needs to be stepped before starting excavation,during the intermediate transition,and after the penetration.The safety of the TBM stepping process,the accuracy of the stepping line and the speed of the stepping speed have a certain impact on the whole project.Based on the main inclined shaft project of Kekegai Coal Mine in Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum,the TBM with the weight of 900 t was successfully stepped 260 m in the slope section to the starting chamber.This paper introduced the construction scheme and process flow of open-type TBM step starting construc-tion,which could provide reference for similar TBM project step operation.
