Digital Technology Application,Business Model Innovation and Firm Performance:Evidence from Chinese A-share Listed Companies
With the development of modern science and technology,digital technology application(DTA)has become a key way for firm to achieve high-quality development.Digital technology can help firm optimize processes,promote innovation,enhance performance,and achieve the purpose of reducing costs and increasing efficiency.Based on Resource-based Theory,Resource Orchestration Theory and Dynamic Capabili-ty Theory,the influencing mechanism of DTA promoting business model innovation(BMI)and firm perform-ance is explored,and data of China's A-share listed companies from 2010-2020 is used to test the proposed hy-pothesizes.Results show that DTA has a significant positive impact on firm performance,and BMI plays partial mediating role.Further analysis shows that for state-owned enterprises,mature enterprises and enterprises with strong technology absorptive capacity,the impact is more significant.The findings provides a new explanation for understanding the impact mechanism of DTA on firm performance,and also provides a new path for firm's performance improvement in the context of digital economy.
