How Does the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port Promote Economic Transformation?——Based on the Perspective of Open-Oriented,Ecology-Oriented and Service-Oriented
How to promote the domestic economic transformation has always been the hot topic of aca-demic community.As the highest level of openness,the mechanism path of Hainan Free Trade Port to promote economic transformation deserves in-depth discussion.Based on the provincial panel data from 2010 to 2021,economic transformation effect of the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port is examined with synthetic control method.The empirical research results show that,the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port can promote the transformation of economic system to open-oriented,ecology-oriented and service-oriented directions.The mechanism test shows that the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port can promote the realization of economic transformation by optimizing the business environment.Further analysis shows that during the study period,the coupling coordination degree of China's overall opening-ecological-service economic system shows a steady up-ward trend,and the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port can improve the level of coupling coordination de-gree of opening-ecological-service economic system in the region.The institutional opening-up represented by the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port will realize the synergistic linkage with transformation of the internal economic system.Therefore,it is necessary to continue to steadily promote constructing of Hainan Free Trade Port,optimize the business environment,and promote economic transformation and the construction of a new economic system through institutional innovation and further opening up.
