Digital Empowerment,Manufacturing Agglomeration,and Enterprise Growth
Promoting enterprise growth is an important starting point for improving economic quality and efficiency.Starting from the core industry of digital economy,this paper first demonstrates the impact of digital manufacturing agglomeration on enterprise growth through theoretical analysis,and then empirically tests the relationship and transmission mechanism between the two using data from Chinese industrial enterprises.The results show that digital manufacturing agglomeration can significantly help enterprise growth,but there are differences in the impact of digital manufacturing agglomeration on enterprise growth under different constraint conditions,manifested as non-state-owned enterprises,large-scale enterprises,and enterprises in areas with high industrial correlation gaining greater benefits from digital manufacturing agglomeration.The impact mech-anism test shows that digital manufacturing agglomeration helps enterprises grow by building a digital labor pool,increasing digital factor input,and promoting digital technology innovation.Further analysis reveals that the growth effect of digital manufacturing agglomeration exhibits localized characteristics of first increasing,then decreasing,and splitting into negative directions with the increase of spatial distance.Therefore,it is necessary to create a good digital industry agglomeration ecology,promote cross regional communication and interaction of the digital industry,comprehensively understand the path of digital manufacturing industry ag-glomeration on micro enterprises,and promote enterprise growth.
