Industrial Composition and Regional Characteristics of National Value Chain of China's Manufacturing Industry——Measurement and Analysis Based on the Dual Dimensions of Industry and Provinces
The proposal of a new"double-cycle"development pattern means that, while continuing to integrate into the global value chain,China's development perspective will shift to a national value chain that relies on internal market demand and interregional division of labor.Based on the 2002-2015 provincial in-terregional input-output table, this paper focuses on the analysis of the degree and status of manufacturing industries'embeddedness in national value chains, and explores their evolutionary trends, regional distribu-tion,industrial composition status, and challenges they face. The results found that although the division of la-bor in national value chains among sectors and regions is becoming more and more balanced, the differentiation among regions in the division of labor in national value chains is not obvious, and they have not yet formed a competitive advantage to match their factor endowments; The participation and status of emerging manufactur-ing industries in national value chains are relatively lower compared with traditional manufacturing industries. At the same time, there are problems such as weak industrial correlation and distorted resource allocation in the process of national value chain construction, while the integration into the global value chain will also hin-der the improvement of the division of labor system of the national value chain to a certain extent. Therefore,we should base on the resource endowment of each region, further strengthen regional cooperation and cultivate the leading enterprises of the value chain to promote the optimization of the division of labor in the national val-ue chain,so as to realize the high-quality development of manufacturing industry.
