Fostering Harmonious Labor-Capital Dynamics in the Digital Age:Insights from Marxist Political Economy
In the digital economy era,the dynamics and rules governing labor and capital exhibit new characteristics, leading to significant transformations in labor-capital relations. The emergence of digital capital and digital labor complicates the labor-capital amalgamation and obscures the mechanisms of surplus value generation. In production,a stark duality persists between la-bor and capital.Within distribution, the division of labor and capital is marked by pronounced disparities across subjects,ob-jects,industries,and regions. In circulation, digital retail's capitally driven operations exacerbate disparities and polarization be-tween socioeconomic classes. In consumption, the unclear demarcation of data ownership emerges as a critical factor in labor-capital discord.A balance between labor and capital, steered by governmental oversight,is essential for the adaptive realignment of property rights, transitioning from centralized management to empowerment, from rigid to flexible work arrangements, and in establishing and preserving workers'social and data rights. To cultivate a harmonious labor-capital relationship in the digital economy, efforts must be directed towards regulating and fostering the wholesome growth of capital to ensure its benefits extend to labor. This involves enhancing workers'digital human capital and bargaining strength;refining corporate digital management sys-tems for mutual labor-capital benefits;and developing a comprehensive social security framework for labor, thereby promoting stable,long-term harmonious labor relations.
