Digitization of agriculture is important for the transition of agricultural modernization.Constructing a theoretical framework of"data elements-cost structure-transformation of small farmers",and testing the role of data elements in the transition of China's farming mode,it is found that although data elements weakening the credit constraints for small farmers,it also weakens the labor inefficiency and strengthens market forces for large farms and increases its net advantage.The results show that data elements change the cost structure of small and large farms by empowering traditional labor and capital,which has a positive effect on the transition from small to large farms.Therefore,we should attach importance to the introduction of data elements in agricultural management,improve data infrastructure construction,and promote the modernization and transformation of China's agriculture.
