Fintech,Executive Environmental Background and Corporate Green Innovation
Selecting A-share listed companies of Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges from 2011 to 2021 as the research sample,this study examines the impact of fintech on corporate green innovation and the moderating effect of executive environmental backgrounds.The research finds that fintech can enhance the level of corporate green innovation.Executive environmental backgrounds strengthen the positive incentivizing effect of fintech on corporate green innovation.Channel analysis indicates that fintech can promote corporate green innovation by influencing the company's risk-taking behavior and its willingness to disclose environmental information.Executive environmental backgrounds further amplify this pathway effect.Furthermore,the study finds that under the leadership of female executives with environmental backgrounds and older executives,the positive incentivizing effect of fintech on corporate green innovation becomes more pronounced.Executive environmental backgrounds also reinforce the positive role of fintech in promoting practical green innovation,green invention innovation,and the quality of green innovation.Therefore,enterprises should establish an efficient management team and actively utilize fintech to promote corporate green innovation.
