Artificial Intelligence,Green Innovation and Corporate Carbon Performance
Based on a micro-level perspective, this study examines the impact of artificial intelligence(Al)and green innovation(GI)on corporate carbon performance(CCP),as well as their underlying mechanisms. The findings reveal a positive U-shaped relationship between AI and CCP,indicating an initial decrease followed by an increase.GI,on the other hand, exhibits a non-linear promotion effect on CCP.Mechanism analysis demonstrates a negative moderating effect of government environmental governance on the relationship between AI and CCP,while it has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between GI and CCP.Marketization level,on the other hand, exhibits a negative moderating effect on the relationships among AI,GI,and CCP.The heterogeneity test shows that the impact of AI on CCP of small-scale enterprises is more significant, but the impact of GI on CCP of large-scale enterprises is more obvious. The impact of AI and GI on CCP of non-'two high'enterprises is stronger than that of'two high'enterprises. There is a big gap in the impact of AI and GI on CCP in the eastern, central and western regions.Accordingly, the top-level design of AI and GI should be done through a systematic and multi-level policy system, and the enterprise environmental information disclosure system should be improved according to the type of enterprise and the place and time.
