人力资本积累、贸易开放与中国制造业企业创新

人力资本是决定经济增长的重要因素.本文采用双重差分法识别"高校扩招"带来的人力资本积累对中国制造业企业创新的影响.研究发现:人力资本积累显著促进企业创新行为和创新质量.此外,贸易开放是促进企业创新的重要机制,企业进口竞争形成的要素聚集效应促进了企业创新,在出口市场获得学习效应形成的市场扩张效应是促进企业创新的另一重要途径.本文揭示了人力资本积累的必要性以及通过贸易开放实现创新的重要性.
Human Capital Accumulation,Trade,and China's Firms Innovation
Human capital is an important factor in driving economic growth.We use the DID method to identify the causal effects of human capital accumulation on Chinese firms'innovation.We find that hu-man capital accumulation has a significant positive effect on firms'innovation behavior and quality.In addi-tion,trade is the key mechanism.Human capital accumulation promotes firms'innovation through both the"factor aggregation effect"brought by import competition and the"market expansion effect"by learn-ing effects in the export markets.The results reveal the necessity of human capital accumulation and the importance of innovation through trade openness.
