Research on the Impact of Local Education Investment on Economic Growth
The panel data of 30 provinces and municipalities in China(excluding Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and Tibet)from 2007 to 2021 were used as empirical samples to test the impact of local education investment on economic growth.The results show that education expenditure has a significant positive impact on local economic growth,and there is a significant lag effect.In terms of sub-regions,the economic growth effect of education expenditure in the central region is the largest,and the economic growth effect in the eastern region is the weakest.Increased investment in education will not only improve our literacy,but also contribute to economic development to a large extent.
