An Empirical Study on Improving the Level of China's Social Consumption—From the Perspective of Intergenerational Income Distribution
Currently,China is constructing a new development pattern that takes the domestic cycle as the main body and the domestic and international dual cycles promote each other.Consumption is an important component of economic development,a key link and important en-gine of the domestic cycle, and has a lasting driving effect on the economy. It is related to safeguarding and improving people's livelihoods. However, insufficient consumption is one of the bottlenecks that currently hinders China's economic development and social progress. This article uses regression model tools to conduct in-depth analysis of indicators such as age, total income, and total consumption expenditure. The research scope includes individuals between the ages of 22 and 70.It was found that there is a significant negative correlation between age and consumption expenditure. As age increases, the proportion of consumption expenditure in total income will gradually decrease.Final-ly,based on these conclusions, relevant policy recommendations are proposed, including promoting employment and entrepreneurship among young people, strengthening consumption guidance and cultivating consumption habits, and strengthening social education and ideological guidance.
