Research on the Cultivation of Outstanding Doctors Based on Self-Determination Theory
The self-determination theory focuses on the positive components of human nature,believing that human autonomy,ability,and relational needs are the most important.The focus of the reform of education for outstanding doctors is to cultivate the medical ethics and job competence of medical students.Applying self-determination theory to the cultivation of outstanding doctors can stimulate the autonomy and ability needs of medical students,enhance their sense of belonging and honor,and improve the effectiveness of medical education.The cultivation of outstanding doctors from the perspective of self-determination theory requires strengthening medical humanities education,while effectively improving the job competence of medical students from aspects such as curriculum reform,teaching method reform,and"medical education collaboration".
