The Chinese nation,in its long history of development,has nurtured a rich traditional incense culture.Drawing inspiration from this traditional Chinese incense culture and applying it to modern furniture design holds significant importance in promoting traditional culture while also offering innovative ideas for contemporary furniture design.This article,based on a combination of literature research and questionnaire surveys,delves into the history of incense culture,starting from its historical context,and integrates olfactory experiences to explore pathways in modern furniture design.Building upon the foundation of product semantics theory,the article carries out practical design work,ultimately presenting a design proposal for an intelligent aromatherapy wardrobe.The aim is to provide a reference for the fusion and innovation of traditional Chinese incense culture and modern furniture design,thereby expanding the research perspective in the field of contemporary furniture design.
