The Logical Structure Analysis of Shang and Zhou Dynasty Bronze Ornamentation from Wittgenstein's Philosophical Perspective
Grounded in Wittgenstein's philosophy of linguistic signs, this paper focuses on the bronze ornamentation of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, delving into the cultural significance and logical evolution of these adornments through an analysis of their semiotic systems.Methodology:Taking a semiotic approach and utilizing specific examples of bronze artifacts,we dissect the formal structure and symbolic systems of the ornamentation.By providing an in-depth exposition of the historical context of Shang and Zhou bronze artifacts,we reveal their societal importance during that era. Results:The analysis of the logical systems of bronze ornamentation highlights the usage patterns and cultural connotations across different types of artifacts, including ritual vessels and containers. Conclusion:Emphasizing the relationship between motifs and themes, this study elucidates the symbolic evolution of bronze ornamentation, placing it within the profound context of Shang and Zhou history for a deep philosophical semiotic interpretation. This research not only enhances our understanding of bronze ornamentation but also provides a valuable example of applying Wittgenstein's semiotic theory to archaeological studies.
