In recent years,with the emergence of large models such as ChatGPT,Midjourney,Stable Diffusion,Gemini,and others,generative artificial intelligence(AI)large models have experienced rapid development,leading to a new era of technological transformation across various industries.This paper aims to explore the application of this cutting-edge technology in the design domain,focusing on its impact on design innovation and creative output.To begin,we introduce the fundamental principles of generative artificial intelligence large models,emphasizing their successful applications in tasks such as text generation and image synthesis.Subsequently,we delve into the specific applications of generative artificial intelligence large models in the design field,including costume design,graphic design,comic design,robot design,crafts design,game design,and more.Additionally,we discuss the challenges that generative artificial intelligence large models may face in the design domain and propose corresponding solutions.Finally,we underscore the potential benefits of utilizing generative artificial intelligence large models in the design field and the role AIGC should play in the design process.
