Applying the KANO Model to VR Furniture Shopping:Insights into Design Decisions
From a user-centric perspective, this paper is an in-depth exploration of how virtual reality(VR)can enhance the online furniture shopping experience. This project analyzes the current research status of furniture shopping experience in physical and virtual environments by comparing the furniture shopping process of online and offline users and adopts the KJ method to obtain the dimensions of user requirements:the VR furniture shopping experience,VR systems and environments, and VR features, and defines 16 functional requirements through user behaviors. The kano model is used to collect valid samples, perform user requirements and functional priority analysis, focus on specific optimized functions of the VR system, and construct the information architecture of the product and the way of interaction with users. The prototype of the VR system was tested using usability testing and the expert interview method, and the test results showed that this design strategy can improve the user's shopping experience with the VR online furniture system. This research is informative for the development of a VR online furniture shopping system that meets users'needs and expectations.
