That is,the ethereal beauty of traditional embroidery is combined with the practical function of modern furniture. The article firstly explains the definition of cross-border thinking and its performance in design and other fields, introduces the combination of Yao embroidery,an intangible cultural heritage, and furniture design as an opportunity to explore the application of cross-border concepts in the inheritance and innovation of traditional skills, and then the study adopts a combination of KE and FAHP,respectively,to correlate the mapping of user needs and cultural needs of the office chair with Yao embroidery weaving technology, and finally derives the relevant user needs and applies them to the design practice of office chairs. This exploration embodies the paradigm of interdisciplinary integration, and the perfect integration of Yao embroidery patterns and techniques into modern furniture design through the philosophy of cross-border thinking not only promotes a new paradigm of aesthetics in cross-cultural and cross-craft technology in furniture design but also provides a new way of thinking about breaking the traditional boundaries in order to promote the integration of innovation between different fields. The rich tactile and visual stories inherent in Yao embroidery can enhance the sensory experience of furniture use and promote the emotional resonance between traditional culture and innovative design.
