The furniture space in the Complete Edition of Dream of the Red Chamber by Sun Wen in the Qing Dynasty is an emotional and beautiful living situation of "generating emotions," "conveying emotions," and "empathy," reflecting Cao Xueqin's"emotional ontology" thinking. This article combines picture book images and historical documents to explain the connotation of "emotional ontology" in Sun Wen's picture books,explore space creation methods,and analyze the expression of "emotion"in contemporary furniture works,with the aim of constructing a theoretical framework for "emotional ontology" interior space furnishings. This study not only reflects the cultural value of furniture contained in Sun Wen's picture books but also helps to cope with the impact of factors such as the selection and generation of AI image generation technology and cultural value and the cultural"rootlessness" caused by the integration of Chinese and foreign furniture cultures.
