Typological Study of Gate Facade of Traditional Dwellings in Jinzhong,Shanxi Province
As the only way to enter and exit the building,the gate is rich and regular in shape.It is an important part of traditional residential buildings and one of the important carriers of architectural culture.Through field investigation and interview,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of the formation and development of the gate facade of traditional folk houses in Jinzhong.Based on the research method of architectural typology theory,the four basic types of the gate facade are identified and extracted,and the type transformation is carried out in combination with specific social scenes,so as to explore the internal connection and evolution law behind the diversification of the facade shape and form of the gate.The research results show that there are horizontal arrangement,vertical superposition and horizontal and vertical combination evolution laws behind the diversification of the facade of the traditional folk houses in Jinzhong,which reflects the internal continuity and self-discipline of the architectural culture in Jinzhong.On the basis of this research,a new idea of protection and inheritance design of"Optimal variation"and"Invisible association"of traditional residential gates and architectural culture is put forward.
