The 1930s were a crucial period for exploring the modernity of design concepts in China,also marking an important historical era for the emergence of modern interior design concepts.Against the backdrop of the"New Life Movement"in 1934,Art Life aimed to"promote the inherent splendid culture of Chinese art and introduce emerging global arts,"translating Western modern interior design concepts and disseminating China's innovative explorations in furniture materials and interior decorations during this period.This paper examines the founding context,philosophy,and objectives of Art Life,analyzing and uncovering the significant historical and practical values of the rise of modern interior design concepts in China.It also restores and presents the experiences and values of the crafts and art developments in China during the 1930s,a period of spiraling upward progress.
