Research on Architectural Characteristics and Protection Strategies of Traditional Villages in Nanxi River Basin——Xikou Village in Yongjia County as an Example
This study aims to explore the architectural features and their conservation strategies of Xikou Village in Yongjia County,a typical traditional village in the Nanxi River Basin,to analyze the challenges faced by traditional architecture in the process of modernization,and to propose conservation measures that balance historical and cultural inheritance with modern development.Through a combination of fieldwork and literature analysis,the study systematically analyzes the architectural culture,typology,and decorative features of Xikou Village and evaluates the existing conservation measures.The study found that the architecture of Xikou Village has unique regional characteristics in terms of structure,materials,and craftsmanship,but modem development poses challenges to the conservation of traditional architecture.The study suggests strategies such as landscape coordination and new residential construction,restoration of ancient buildings and historical remains,and architectural restoration and maintenance of authenticity in order to achieve effective conservation and sustainable development of traditional architecture and to provide a reference for the conservation of other traditional villages.
