Research on Furniture Design Incorporating Elements of Yao Embroidery Culture Based on the KE/Kano Model
Furniture,an indispensable part of daily life,not only fulfills practical functions but also beautifies home environments,enhances living standards,and reflects users'individuality.With the increasing trend of modem solitary young people keeping pets,this study integrates Yao ethnic embroidery culture with the living habits of modem young solo dwellers in furniture design,aiming to create a sofa imbued with Yao embroidery cultural elements that aligns with modem aesthetics and adapts to pet-friendly home environments.By integrating Kansei Engineering(KE)and the Kano model,the study delves into users'emotional and functional needs,leveraging SPSS software to evaluate and analyze emotional vocabularies and map them to specific design elements.Additionally,the KJ method and Kano model are applied to classify and prioritize user needs.This research deeply explores modern furniture design concepts,advancing furniture design toward humanization and pet-friendliness to enhance user experience.This innovative design philosophy not only elevates the artistic aesthetics and practicality of furniture but also meets the practical demands of pet-owning families,injecting new vitality into the furniture industry and facilitating product innovation and market expansion.This comprehensive research methodology and design concept carry significant theoretical and practical implications for modern furniture design.
