The Evolution of the'Light Color Palette'Application in Interior Decoration Interfaces of Chinese Urban Residences Since the New Era
The light color palette, characterized by high brightness and low saturation,is widely used in the color schemes of interior decoration in Chinese urban residences.By summarizing the categories of materials, application scenarios, and stylistic origins of light color schemes in residential interior spaces,it is observed that the use of color schemes in Chinese urban residential interiors has undergone varying degrees of evolution. This evolution is attributed to improvements in social economic levels, advancements in home decoration technologies, changes in lifestyles, and the introduction of foreign design influences.Through a review of literature and analysis of design cases,it is found that, from the 1980s to the present, the application characteristics of light color schemes in the interior decoration of Chinese urban residences have experienced three distinct evolutionary periods:the period of traditional inheritance, the period of style integration, and the period of simplification from complexity. This paper explores the inherent logic and influencing factors behind the evolution of light color scheme applications in interior decoration interfaces. It aims to understand the evolution of modem Chinese residential interior design through the often overlooked yet significant perspective of color.
