Mechanism and Pathway of Digital-driven Whole-house Customised Furniture Design Transformation
Addressing the current status of slowed growth and insufficient value creation in the whole-house customised furniture industry,this paper explores the digital-driven value creation model and design transformation pathway.Based on the analysis of the intrinsic mechanism of digital-enabled value creation in customised furniture,and with the case of design transformation in S Company,the study constructs a design transformation path from three dimensions:design value and task transformation,design process reengineering,and design organisation model transformation.This transformation involves moving from"decorative"and"renovation"design to integrated design,AIGC design,and virtual experience design.Key elements such as object digitisation,virtual experience,AI design,and service design are introduced into the design process,and the organisation shifts from a process-oriented structure emphasising customer value to a network-based structure focused on stakeholders.The digital-driven design transformation helps enterprises rapidly respond to user needs,significantly improve design efficiency and user satisfaction,break the temporal and spatial constraints of collaborative innovation,and enhance sustainable innovation and profitability.
